The Hardest Life

I know I have the hardest life when the worst thing about it is...

1) I get a little crazy that my kids always want me to play with them.

2) I get envious of my hubby's career because I don't get to spend 24/7 with him.

3) I get mad that it is hard to schedule in girl's night with all of my friends.

4) I get tiffed that it takes me 10 minutes to drive to see my mom when I need her.

5) I get tired from being woken up at 5 in the morning to snuggle my 1 year old.

6) I get sore from wrestling two energetic boys.

7) I get annoyed when I have to clean my big house.

8) I get down when I don't exercise enough for my able body.

9) I get stressed when I am behind with my stay-at-home job.

10) I get frustrated that my complete knowledge of the purpose of life gets sidetracked by life itself.

Seriously...I have the hardest life!!!

I took the boys to PetSmart to get some snails for our fish tank. Beck would see the dogs and say he wanted one, when he saw the hamsters he said the same thing. Then the fish, then birds and so on and so on. I kepts saying, "When you are 8, you can pick out a pet that you can take care of." Finally, we came to the cats. And, of course, he said he wanted one. I had the perfect excuse this time telling him that "Dad is allergic to cats." And he said, "So when dad is 80 and he dies, then we can have a cat." I said yes!

Myles came running in from outside saying, "Moon! Moon!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me outside to show me. Then he reached up and said, "Wanna catch it!" Priceless!

Beck comes into our room in the morning and lays on our floor waiting for us to wake up. I am awake, but pretending otherwise. Pretty soon I hear, "Achoo, wake up! Achoo, wake up!"

As we were heading to the zoo Beck said to me, "Hey mom, lions eat meat." Long pause..."People are made out of meat."Silence.

Beck and Cromar were at the mall the other day. Beck suddenly walked up to a manequin, waved and said, "Hey, how's it going?" He had Cromar in histerics as he kept walking up to the manequins and talking to them as if they were real people and giving them high-fives.

Myles was sitting in his car seat with the window down while I was pumping gas. A 20ish girl walked by wearing a tank-top belly shirt. Myles pointed to her and said, "Naky!" (That's "Naked!" in Myles speak) I only wish the girl was close enough to hear it!

The boys were helping me make my bed this morning. When we were done, I said, "You are awesome!" And Myles gave me a mean face and said pointing to himself, "No! Myles!" I kept teasing him and we went on for about five minutes like this... "You're awesome!" "No! Myles!" "You're awesome!" "NO! Myles!" "You're awesome!" "NO! MYLES!"

Beck was talking to my dad on the phone when my dad asked him where Cromar was. Beck said, "He's at work. Making us money."

We were driving home from preschool with Beck and his two cousins, Kale and Jase. They were trying to think of the grossest things they could eat, like "tootburgers" or "mudshakes". It was decided that Beck won when he said, "I love to eat bumkabobs!"

Myles was sitting on my lap on the downstairs couch. He kept telling me he wanted to go upstairs and play. Then he started pointing upstairs and accidentally stuck his finger in my nose. He pulled it out, looked at his finger and said, "Ooh guckas!"

I walk into the playroom met by a strong smell and I say to Myles, "Are you poopy?" and Beck interupts me and counters, "No Mom, that's just my stinky breath!"

Myles' prayer, "Father (with lisp)...food...food...Amen"

Beck was watching Scooby Doo and I told him that it was time to go to run errands and he said to me, "But Mom, they have to solve the mystery!"

Myles opened the pantry door and I said to him, "Whatcha doin?" and he said, "Lookin."

When Beck really, really wants to be mean and tries to find the most hurftul thing he can think of, he says, "Mom, you are so fake!" (He just learned what the word fake means.) I don't know if that is better than what he used to say, which was, "Mom, I'm not your best friend anymore!"

I was furniture shopping and Beck saw a hutch that had some decorative gold charger plates on it, so he said, "Look Mom! It's the golden plates!"

So we finally convinced Beck to watch Star Wars: Episode 1(which he loved!) And during the movie he turned around to me and said, "I didn't know Yoda spoke Spanish!"

For Christmas Santa got Beck a Star Wars Lego Wii game. And he is addicted. So Cromar thought it would be great for us to show him the real movie. Beck was a little scared about it and didn't think it was such a good idea when he said, "Dad, why don't you just watch it and tell me about all the good parts?"

I got Cromar some fish tacos at Del Taco. And Cromar said in his working night haze, "Thank you. That was delicious...Get it? Delicious? 'Del'icious?" Then he kept laughing at his own joke.

Warning! Warning! Mom bragging moment... Beck and I were playing a game we do often where one person says for example, "Show me happy?" and then the other person does the face. After about ten minutes of playing (and running out of emotions) Beck says to me "Show me delighted?" I was very impressed, but not as much as when he said, "Show me mischevious?" The kid is 4 people!

Being a normal 22 month old, Myles often gets words mixed up. "Off" sometimes means "On." Every fruit is an apple. But I think it very appropriate that he calls snow "Floam." (I won't have to explain to those that have floam at home what I mean)

I exasperately said to Beck and Myles, "What am I going to do with you guys?" and Beck said, "Uh, make us some dinner?"

Beck woke me up this morning and said, “Mom, there is another blanket of snow outside.”
